Glimpse of Tiong Bahru

Oil on canvas panel, 9cm x 10.5cm (miniature series)

Painted over one month of weekly visits to Tiong Bahru, this series is a close look at the neighbourhood's overlooked corners — shaded benches, balconies, shopfronts, and the small architectural details easy to walk past. Working small and returning to the same streets week after week turned a routine into a study: not a portrait of the neighbourhood as a whole, but a record of what stood still long enough to be noticed.
